Hola!!
How is my family doing?! I hope Dad and Chandler received my happy birthday cards! I hope you had an AMAZING day. :] You'll have to let me know how it went! Happy birthday again!
Everything is going quite dandy here! :] We have been just staying busy with the work. We are trying to really focus on the people we have been teaching, but it's been hard because a few of them have been out of town so we haven't been able to see them for a while. We continually meet new people, though, and we love it!
The Lord puts people in our paths and it's up to us to recognize that and continually look for people to talk to and opportunities to share the Gospel, share our testimony. The other day we came to the library to use facebook (online missionary work!) and the computers were booked and weren't going to be able to get on for another half hour. We decided to go to a referral we had been given that lived pretty close. As we were walking to the apartment we saw this man sitting in this gazebo and he looked tired and stressed. We started talking to him and he let us know that he had sat down because he thought he was going to faint. He has diabetes (a very severe case) and had just got out of the hospital and already had started feeling so dizzy and couldn't even see straight. We could tell that he just needed someone to talk to and we listened. He felt frustrated and hopeless. We were able to share a scripture, Alma 38: 5 with him and let him know that Jesus Christ is with us through all of our afflictions and trials. We told him that God gives us trials and sometimes we don't know why, but we do know that they are for our good. They help us grow and progress. Looking back on all of the trials in my life, I can find something, or in most cases, numerous things that I learned from them. We gave him a Book of Mormon and got his contact information. He seemed very excited about the Book of Mormon and told us he was going to keep it forever. He told us that he felt better after talking to us and that he could feel our spirit. We walked away from that knowing that the spirit had led us to him that day. It's amazing when you recognize that you are being a tool in the Lord's hands.
We had stake conference this past weekend and two members of the seventy were there, Elder Franco & Elder Golden. I could feel their spirit so strong throughout their talks. Elder Golden talked about how the church is growing so fast. He is from South Africa and was talking about how big the church is becoming in Africa. I felt the spirit so strong because this truly is Christ's Church on the Earth today and it is being spread all over the world and becoming bigger and bigger. I feel so blessed to be a part of it. I know that this truly is Christ's Church! How do I know that? I have prayed about it and I can't deny the feelings that I felt. I wouldn't be here on a mission if I didn't know that it is true.
I love you all so much! Thank you for EVERYTHING you do for me. You are in my prayers always.

Con mucho amor,
Hermana Robinson

Hola mi familia!
How is everything going in St. George!?! I hope everything is going good! Everything is going good here! :] I want to tell Chandler and Dad happy birthday!! It's coming up soon! What are you all planning on doing?! Well whatever it is, have fun!!!
I want to share with you a few fun moments of this past week! Funny moment of the week: We were talking to one of our neighbors and as we were talking to him a big, huge spider was slowly coming down on a web like right above his head, I was like "uh...a spider!" and he hurriedly moved away. It scared all of us so bad though because it was HUGE! He was sooo thankful to me. He told me later that I saved his life because if that spider would have been poisonous and I hadn't said anything, he could have been bitten and died. He told us that he believed in God because he had led him to us and then we were able to save his from being bit by the spider. I'm glad we were able to increase his faith. :]
Favorite moment of the week: We have an investigator with a baptismal date! She is amazing. Her name is Ana and one day we were walking to go find a referral we had been giving and she shouted out to us before we even said anything to her. She waved us down and gave us her phone number! She then started singing us "La Secreta Oracion" (her favorite song!). Turns out she knows one of the members in our branch and had went to the LDS church in Miami for a long time before she moved here. She even had a calling! Ana has breast and colon cancer, but she is so positive despite her trials. We asked her if she wanted a blessing from a Priesthood holder and she told us she would love one. We asked one of the members in our branch (such a strong member!) if he would be willing to give Ana a blessing and he told us yes. On Friday night, we all were going to meet up before we went up to Ana's apartment to give the blessing. He told us on the phone before he got there that he had a surprise for us and we had no idea what it could be. He pulls up in his van and he has the Relief Society president with him (she's amazing!) and the Elders, haha. He had brought the whole gang! It was soo cute. We all went up and they gave her the blessing and we all felt the spirit really strong! Afterwards, she sang us her favorite song. She is so sweet and we have such amazing branch members. We feel so blessed to be serving in this area!
Miracle moment of the week: Yesterday, we had an investigator and her two daughters show up to church! It was so cool to see them there. She participated a lot in the lessons and everything. While one of the members was in sacrament giving their talk, she turned to Hna. Skroski and asked her if just anyone can go up and give a talk? Hna. Skroski told her that once a month we have fast and testimony meeting where anyone can get up and bear their testimony. She told her that she would like to give a talk! And her daughters enjoyed young womens.
This work is soo rewarding. I love it! We also were able to go to the temple on Saturday! It was wonderful! As I was in the temple, I was thinking about how we are all God's children. We are all one, big family. Heavenly Father wants all of us to get back to Him. I want to do everything I can to help His children get back to Him. He loves all of us so much. He loves each and every one of YOU so much. *John 3:16-17.
I love all of you so much! Thank you, thank you, thank you for your support and love!!

Con mucho amor,
Hermana Robinson

Buenos Dias!
This week is the beginning of the third transfer. Did you read that?! Third transfer! Time flies when you're having fun...or when you're really really busy being a missionary & having fun too! I'm still here in good ol' Novato with Hermana Skroski. We are happy! We feel like it took us all of last transfer to really figure things out and get things started here with finding solid investigators and stuff. We are ready to find those that are ready!
On Saturday, Julie B. Beck (General Relief Society President) came and spoke to women from areas all around here. It was in Vacaville, so not too far away from here and we were able to go. It was soo good! I even shook her hand & felt all starstruck. She is an amazing woman. I felt the spirit so strong sitting in that room full of women. She uplifted, strengthened, and edified us. Every one of us in that room were different. We were raised in different parts of the world, have had different experiences, but we all were unified in that we are sisters & daughters of our Heavenly Father. Relief Society is the biggest organization for women in the world and we are a part of that. How amazing! It made me think of the women in my life and how blessed I am to have such great examples of strength, determination, charity, motherhood, and love. There is a new book out that I'm sure you may have "Daughters of my Kingdom" I can't wait to read the whole thing through. I've read quotes and pages here and there, but I'm excited to read it all the way through.
Yesterday in church, I gave my first talk on the mission. And I found out about an hour before I was to give it. Haha. It wasn't too bad though, it was on missionary work. I was pretty nervous though because of course, it was in spanish. The spanish is coming slowly, but surely. Sometimes it feels like it's not progressing, but then when I think back to a few months ago, I realize how far it's come. And it's all with the help of the Lord!
One of our investigators has cancer and so he has been in the hospital in San Francisco for a few weeks now. He is going to be in the hospital for a while. We have been calling him to see how he is doing and everything. When we first taught him, he was so eager to learn. He had read the pamphlets we had given him and had things to share with us from what he read. We talked to him on Saturday on the phone and he told us that he didn't have his Book of Mormon with him in the hospital, but that he had asked his sister to bring it to him. Hermana Skroski and I were so happy. We were so happy because the Book of Mormon is going to provide him so much peace and comfort through this hard time in his life.
We teach and talk to people everyday and we hear all of the different difficulties and trials that are taking place in their lives. There are so many troubles and problems people have, but every single one can be made better. It can be made lighter. And we have the answer- The Gospel of Jesus Christ. Some people don't want to hear it, though. It makes me sad because I know how their life could benefit. I know the comfort, love, and peace I have felt in my life from the Atonement, from knowing why I'm here. I love the Gospel.

Love,
Hermana Robinson

HIII!
Where to start?!? This past week we have seen so many miracles. I just want to say there is NOTHING like missionary work. You have disappointments and hard times, yeah, but the good moments outweigh the bad for sure. There is nothing like feeling a strong love for people you have never met and also seeing them change their lives and feel of the love that our Heavenly Father has for them. This past transfer we kind of had to start from scratch because we didn't have solid people we were teaching, they weren't keeping commitments and they didn't truly want to change. When it comes to that point, you have to let them go. It's hard, but I know that with time they will be more ready and accept the Gospel of Jesus Christ into their lives. We have been working hard trying to find people that are ready to accept the Gospel, this past week we were blessed.
We had a lesson with a lady named Betsy and she is so sweet. She has two kids and she's been taught by missionaries before. From the beginning, we knew she was having a hard time. She's single, works hard for her two kids, her mom has a lot of health problems, and she's just overwhelmed. We shared with her how much Heavenly Father loves her, how much He wants us to pray to Him because we can feel of that love when we pray. We told her about the Plan of Salvation and how we lived with our Heavenly Father before this life and that we chose to come to this Earth and we were excited! We let her know that no matter what trial, difficulty, or weakness we have it can be made better through our Savior, Jesus Christ. She kept saying "Thank you" during the lesson and we just kept saying it's not us. There isn't a better feeling than knowing that the spirit was able to work through you as an instrument in the hands of the Lord.
Every Friday night we teach a less active member, Andres, who is so awesome! He works so much and he can't come to church on Sundays. Friday night, he brought a friend he had recently met to our appointment with him. We were able to teach him about the Restoration and that there is Christ's true church on the Earth today. The next day he came to a session of conference! We were so excited. I love being a missionary!
I hope you all had the chance to watch conference, it was amazing! I wrote down questions or problems that I needed help with, and every single one was answered during conference. I know the the Lord is aware of each and every one of us. If you weren't able to watch it, you really should! Here is the link http://lds.org/general-conference/sessions/2011/10?lang=eng. :] The Mormon Tabernacle Choir sang "I am a Child of God" and I felt the spirit so strong. It was beautiful. I know that we are all children of God. Another song they sang that I love so much is "I feel my Saviors Love." The power of music is so strong.
This church is led by men called of God. I feel their spirit, their power, and love when they speak to all of the members of the Church. After conference, we were talking to a member of the branch and he just said "I love the church!" and I feel the exact same way.. I love the church!!
1 Timothy 4:12 "Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity."

Thank you for your constant love & support! I LOVE YOU!!

Dear fam[ily], :]
It has been pretty hot here the past few weeks and Hermana Ski and I are so happy because we love the sunshine! I have realized just how much I love the sun. I absolutely love going outside each day and the sun being out, it just makes me so happy.
I just want to share a great learning experience I've had this past week and it's about applying the Atonement into our daily lives. The past week I was feeling very frustrated with myself. Each week, we make goals for ourselves and as a companionship. I had all of these goals that I wanted to accomplish and when weekly planning came around on Friday and we were evaluating how we did on my goals, I couldn't help but be disappointed. I have this vision of the missionary I want to be and I felt like I was failing. Hermana Skroski sat across the table from me and just listened to what I had to say. After I was through telling her how I felt, she said "You aren't applying the Atonement in your life." And I couldn't believe it. I couldn't believe that I was doing that to myself. I was making myself so sad and discouraged because I wasn't applying the Atonement into my life. I wasn't giving myself any credit, but concentrating on all of the things I wasn't doing. She told me to go into the room and pray. I did that and I felt so much better. I couldn't believe in the midst of me trying to be this "extraordinary" missionary, I had forgot to apply the very thing I was teaching to people.. that through the mercy and grace of Jesus Christ, we can be made whole. Ever since that Friday afternoon, I have had a brighter outlook on each new day. I realize that goals are there to push us, but that if we don't conquer every, single little thing, it's going to be okay. Jesus Christ paid the price for our sins, our weaknesses, and our sorrow. I love Jesus Christ. He is my Savior. I have a greater understanding of the Atonement this week.
On Saturday was the General Relief Society Broadcast. It was soo good and just what I needed to hear. I am including the link to the talk by President Uchtdorf, please watch it! http://lds.org/general-conference/watch/2011/10&vid=1180453706001&cid=7?lang=eng. It talks about the things in life that we should "forget not." It is amazing.
The work is going forward! We meet new, interesting people everyday. We witness miracles everyday. I feel so blessed to be here right now serving the Lord! I know I'm right where I'm supposed to be. I love you all so much! Thank you for your constant love and support with EVERYTHING.

Con mucho amor,
Hermana Robinson
