Hola!!
How is my family doing?! I hope Dad and Chandler received my happy birthday cards! I hope you had an AMAZING day. :] You'll have to let me know how it went! Happy birthday again!
Everything is going quite dandy here! :] We have been just staying busy with the work. We are trying to really focus on the people we have been teaching, but it's been hard because a few of them have been out of town so we haven't been able to see them for a while. We continually meet new people, though, and we love it!
The Lord puts people in our paths and it's up to us to recognize that and continually look for people to talk to and opportunities to share the Gospel, share our testimony. The other day we came to the library to use facebook (online missionary work!) and the computers were booked and weren't going to be able to get on for another half hour. We decided to go to a referral we had been given that lived pretty close. As we were walking to the apartment we saw this man sitting in this gazebo and he looked tired and stressed. We started talking to him and he let us know that he had sat down because he thought he was going to faint. He has diabetes (a very severe case) and had just got out of the hospital and already had started feeling so dizzy and couldn't even see straight. We could tell that he just needed someone to talk to and we listened. He felt frustrated and hopeless. We were able to share a scripture, Alma 38: 5 with him and let him know that Jesus Christ is with us through all of our afflictions and trials. We told him that God gives us trials and sometimes we don't know why, but we do know that they are for our good. They help us grow and progress. Looking back on all of the trials in my life, I can find something, or in most cases, numerous things that I learned from them. We gave him a Book of Mormon and got his contact information. He seemed very excited about the Book of Mormon and told us he was going to keep it forever. He told us that he felt better after talking to us and that he could feel our spirit. We walked away from that knowing that the spirit had led us to him that day. It's amazing when you recognize that you are being a tool in the Lord's hands.
We had stake conference this past weekend and two members of the seventy were there, Elder Franco & Elder Golden. I could feel their spirit so strong throughout their talks. Elder Golden talked about how the church is growing so fast. He is from South Africa and was talking about how big the church is becoming in Africa. I felt the spirit so strong because this truly is Christ's Church on the Earth today and it is being spread all over the world and becoming bigger and bigger. I feel so blessed to be a part of it. I know that this truly is Christ's Church! How do I know that? I have prayed about it and I can't deny the feelings that I felt. I wouldn't be here on a mission if I didn't know that it is true.
I love you all so much! Thank you for EVERYTHING you do for me. You are in my prayers always.
Con mucho amor,
Hermana Robinson
